Up Next: "Save Me, Toño Robens" by Denisse Estefany Mendoza Valdez at The Vino Theater

I am excited to share news on the next project I am proud to be a part of. Save Me, Toño Robens, written by Denisse Estefany Mendoza Valdez is a beautiful dark comedy about pain and existing through it. Here are some words by the playwright:

"Save Me, Tono Robens" is a dark comedy about suicide, touching on themes of religious upbringing and family relationships. Through a Latine scope of experience, my characters explore different faces that coping takes on when feeling high levels of despair, while allowing the audience to laugh at their flaws. My lighthearted approach to these still untouchable subjects hopefully makes my work relatable and intends to offer comfort, relatability and support.

It is exciting to me to get to work with fellow UTEP grads and colleagues from the borderland. From our familia to you and yours, I hope you can make it out to this one. As a matter of fact, the event will be streaming as well, so for those of you not in New York, you have the lovely opportunity of catching this one.
